Sprint customers in the US not receiving sms from 40404 (Nov 2008)
Sprint customers began experiencing sms related problems in November 2008.
The main symptoms appear to be:
* no response when sending ON to 40404
* not receiving tweets via sms
* for some, tweets sent from sms show up late at the website
The following users all have verified phones, but are experiencing one or more of the issues listed above

I really wish I could give everyone better news. Unfortunately, we can only work through a solution with our sms provider because the problem is not occurring on our side of the sms delivery chain.

* Any comments or observations: Sent ON command, re-verified phone, able to send other text messages, etc. ::sigh::
Re-verified phone and am able to receive other text messages. Sprint says short codes are not blocked on my account. Tweets sent via sms show up almost immediately on the website and I'm able to remove and verify my phone.. just can't receive anything. -
Inappropriate?Twitter's new helpdesk has a list of Known Issues and this problem (sprint customers not receiving sms from 40404) is listed there.

* Any comments or observations; All other SMS is working, including to and from Google. Received a message from Twitter today stating that they were unable to send SMS notification to my phone number, but I could still post updates through my mobile device to the number they provided (the +44.... number). -

Inappropriate?Also a SPRINT user. First day, tweets came through via SMS OKAY. 2nd day nothing. 3rd day it worked for 2 messages and quit. This is annoying. Who is working on this problem?

Inappropriate?Well randomly enough SMS started to work again... I did try to contact sprint about blocked shortcodes and that might have been the issue. But, honestly, I don't know what happened, so thank you, everyone! :]
