Store read/unread status at Twitter > Call via API > Cross client working
I use Twitter via different clients and it is quite annoying to "re-read" old postes on each of them.
It is quite necessary to have a "read" flag stored to my account at twitter which could be called via API to this flag could be read by all kind of clients/applications (iPhone, Web, EventBox, Twitteriffic, ...)
This is a must have, please :)

Inappropriate?Or you can stop reading once you hit an old tweet that you know you've read.
If you REALLY need this, sign up at twittermail.com and use an IMAP-capable mail service like Gmail. No need for twitter to reinvent the wheel, and you can use your mail clients to catch up on tweets.
I don't see a need to complicate every twitter client and twitter itself with read/unread statuses. -
Inappropriate? Why should i search of a post? Do you handle you mails like this, I guest not.
There is a reason why there is something like IMAP and push service, same counts for Twitter. At least in my eyes. I don't get any reason against it.
I don't see the need to add/subscribe & implement a IMAP service just to have a simple READ flag. :) And I like to use common Twitter clients instead of a "un-native" mail client without the comen Twitter features like "EventBox" presents you.
At least I would like this feature. And somehow it is already there, because "twitter.com" has this flag already. What we need is API to this information. :)
I’m waiting for it
