This method requires a POST. ARGH!!

I'm getting this error message when trying to delete DMs.

Yeah this is a weird web development problem! I'd like to get my user ID reinstated but I might have to just create a new account.

I'm not having this issue trying to restore an account, but when I try to find friends based on my web email. Regardless if I enter my gmail or AOL information, it comes back with "this method requires a POST"

I get this problem when trying to add contacts from yahoo / gmail...I give me credentials, hit the button, I get the "loading your contacts" wait wheel, then "This method requires a POST.".

I get the "This method requires a POST" as well when I try to load contacts from my GMail. Happens in the latest Camino and Firefox. Anyone got any advice?

Same problem, any attempt in any browser to bring forth email contacts from Yahoo, gmail or hotmail gets all "This method requires a POST", at the url "https://twitter.com/invitations/invite_contacts?skipped_to=1". I just signed up yesterday, this is my first account.

yeah, i've been trying to "find and follow" for the past few days and it always gives me "This requires POST". What part of the process requires POST?

Its definitely, 100% still broken. I can reproduce it every single time!

Same for me - stuill busted, and "this method requires a POST" is back.

There is still a problem, although the "POST" message has gone. Now, I get a screen stating there are people in my imported address book who are not on twitter, except that, the list is empty! There is a button for "send invites" and a checkbox for "select all" but no entries from the import.

Still getting the "POST" message here. Almost ready to give up on twitter, not sure how they can let something like this drag on as long as they have.

I still get the "This action requires a POST" message when looking for friends. Loosing interest faster than a Lamborghini at the Autobahn.

just joined twitter, very excited about it, but i can't invite frends because of this "POST" issue, I HAVE NO FRIENDS!

Why is this problem marked as solved? Could someone from the company re-open the problem, so that new users with this problem know that it isn't fixed?

I signed up for a new Twitter account today, and I get a "This method requires POST" message in FF2, FF3, IE7, and Safari 3.1 when I try to add friends. Can this issue please be reopened?

Well everyone, I think that they are working in this problem as we write.

It might be helpful if we use their contact information and write to them or find a phone number through 411 service.

I guess we are all desperate to have this work as soon as possible.

I'll try it and I'll let you know what comes of it.

My fellow Twitterranians, I tried calling 411 info to get a telephone number for Twitter and the operator tells me that their is no business by the name of Twitter, Inc at 539 Bryant Street Suite 403 in San Franscisco, Ca 94107. I guess we will have to wait on an employee to get back to us. Please let me know what comes of this. Thanks

Yea I'm trying to do this via XML and PHP's cURL and I get the same returned message: This method requires a POST.

I have curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); and I have tried using True as well.

When I run my script without using WordPress it works as a stand alone, when I run it as a plugin I get the above return error.

Progress:
Message "This method requires a POST" disapeared now when I was trying to load my gmail contacts, but the contact list presented is empty. So my user need is still not fullfilled.

also having problems adding friends, right now i don't have any because i can't link my gmail with twitter.

The error has changed now. When you attempt to import contacts the next screen says "Hmm... you don't have any email contacts." Like Hell! I have an address book synced across via iTunes from my Mac Address Book with over 300 entries (most with email addresses but some without).

Interesting. I tried against two different gmail accounts (both have copious amounts of contacts). Account A returned the "Hmmm... you don't have any email contacts"message.

The other returned "0 people from your address book are using Twitter!". Which is not true the person that told me about Twitter is in my address book with the email address that is associated with their Twitter account...

Clicking next at this stage takes me to a truncated list of contacts from my account so I can send invites. The fact that scores upon score of contacts are missing might explain the fact that none with Twitter accounts were found.

Also, the list is alphanumerically sorted with the first address starting with an "a" and the last with a "w". Missing contacts include addresses starting with "b" through "z"....
