Google talk... can I tweet from there? I want to but there doesn't seem to be an answer as to how anywhere.

Inappropriate?You can check http://status.twitter.com/ for the the status of all Twitter services. As you can see, "IM" is in the red. Tweeting from Google Talk isn't supported currently. You might try Twhirl or Tweetdeck, though.

Inappropriate?If you're open to using third-party services, you can try http://excla.im and http://ping.fm -- both let you post tweets via IM.
I've also been using Twitt'd to receive tweets via IM. They're at http://twittd.nodehub.com/ -
Inappropriate?I downloaded the Google Talk client so that I could receive Twitter updates from a friend. But I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get the updates from the Twitter postings. Its too much trouble to follow the Twitter postings on their website. I need the Tweets to pop up on my desktop through Google Talk, but how do you do it?

Tweetdeck is best if you follow many people and would like to categorize and file your updates. See their web site for more details. Twhirl is best if you have limited real estate on your screen. I use Twhirl.
