We've found the issue and have started to resume deliveries. Updates were severely backed up. This is going to make timelines appear a bit weird and out of order. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!

Inappropriate?It's taking so long for mine to go through that I'm thinking it's more of a loss of data than just a delay. Texts I sent at 4PM are still not on my page at 11PM, so that's 7 hours and counting for me. I'll be surprised if they ever show up.

Twitter team has been gearing up for this event in anticipation for LOTS of traffic. Maybe we're all seeing first signs of trouble - SMS queuing...
But this is just my guess....

Inappropriate?I had this problem tonight and now looking back I've had it happen to me a few times. Tonight's message was delayed by about 3 hours. -
Inappropriate?I just had the problem for the first time today. I sent a tweet via text message at around 1pm this afternoon, it just showed up and said it was sent five minutes ago (it's 8:40 pm now).
