Tweets are received several hours after they were sent.
Tweets from some individuals appear to be lagged severely. I just received a tweet to both my computer program (TweetDeck) and my phone from @bobsaid labeled at November 2 00:40, although he stated that it was sent almost 3 hours ago. A similar tweet from him was received nearly 12 hours late yesterday. I did some testing with @bobsaid and was unable to find any pattern or similarity to the lag.

Inappropriate?Hi Will. Would you happen to know if those late tweets were sent via sms, and if @bobsaid is a Verizon customer?
I ask because a few people have reported tweets getting lagged and so far the common denominator seems to be Verizon sms. -

Note that quite a few users on different providers report considerable delays or non-delivery of tweets posted as SMS text. You might like to join in there, too.
The same problem is mentioned frequently in the current timeline of the search for @Twitter, too.
