Twitter accounts for teams/groups?
I need a twitter account for a team which allows followers to see updates from ALL team members. Can I do that? This means one account with many followers all seeing all updates from many updaters. I tried having the team account follow all members then publish an RSS feed "with_friends" but users need the team account's password to access the feed.

The public and private groups let you make a group twitter id auto retweet comments to all members so that they can subscribe only to the tweets for the group and not every tweet from every member. Hope that helps!1 Comment

That sounds like a very useful option but I need a little clarification please.
If I set up a private group then only approved members can follow or post to the group. Is that correct?
Assuming the above is correct then I need a public group so members of the team can post updates and family, friends and workmates can follow the updates. Is that correct?
If I set up a public group, can I control who posts to it yet leave it open to anybody to follow progress reports? -
Inappropriate?No, it's not correct because you can make your group "private" in twitter4groups, but "public" in Twitter itself. Then only users the group itself follows can DM the group (which would turn those DMs into a tweet).
This is unlike "public" groups in twitter4groups, where everyone (who follows, though) can participate (which you don't want).
But back to private groups (not in Twitter itself), that's also the only purpose of http://www.grouptweet.com - unlike twitter4groups they already use the new API. This means you don't give them your user/password. Also keep in mind Twitter already warns about expiring the old API in the coming future.
