Twitter asks: What are you doing? Let's change that
The box on each person's Twitter home page still asks "What are you doing?" But, as many people have pointed out, that's not really the right question. People who have used Twitter for a while understand that. But new users can be confused.
I have a (better?) idea. Come up with a set of revolving questions: What are you doing? What have you learned recently? What are you thinking? What's happening around you? What have you heard lately? What do you wish you were doing? Where are you going?...
Every time the page loads, the question should change to a random selection. Get creative with questions. Ask users to suggest questions.
This could be a fun and creative way to involve new Twitter users!

Why not augment the question, "What Are You Doing?" with "What Are You Learning?" or even "What Can Others Learn From?" -
Inappropriate?I think this sounds like fun for a change. I've noticed that most posts ignore the "What are you doing?" question anyway, or interpret it in fairly unique ways. Using the revolving questions might generate some interesting new content without interfering with anyone's inclination to go right on ignoring the prompts.

Inappropriate? This is great idea! Other questions could include: what was the latest movie you saw? What book are you currently reading? What's the weather like where you live?
I’m happy.

Inappropriate?or just, "What's up?" (I know, it's kind of cliche, but also all purpose for more interesting tweets)
