Twitter doesn't support "update" command
I keep trying to update and I get a message that says "Twitter no longer supports that command" You can't be serious. How can Twitter not support updates? This is what I'm entering: "Tips for keeping you teens safe while they're driving http://twurl.nl/kwhr6c"

Inappropriate?I've just done some tests and think I've worked it out.
There must once have been a Twitter command called tips (which probably returned some tips on using Twitter).
So any tweet which happens to begin with the word tips followed by a space is interpreted as being that old command, and returns the error message
We're no longer supporting this command. Soon it will be received as an update.
I've discovered that a tweet which begins Tips: (no space between Tips and : ) is interpreted as a tweet and works as you intended.
So if you tweet something like
Tips: Keeping your teens safe while they're driving: http://twurl.nl/kwhr6c
it should post correctly.
Thanks for including the tweet that failed; otherwise I'd never have guessed what's going on!
I’m happy now - and hope you are too!

Inappropriate?I just has this problem when I tried to post a tweet that started with "msg " (space included) so that must be an old command too. I rephrased by tweet and now it works. Thanks!

Inappropriate?Thank you so much for figuring this out! I was so confused. It's true, Twitter does misinterpret anything that starts with "tips.
I was trying to tweet:
"Tips for being a vegetarian at Thanksgiving: http://earthfirst.com/tips-on-being-v..."
and I got the error message:
"We're no longer supporting this command. Soon it will be received as an update."
but "Tips: Being a vegetarian at Thanksgiving..." worked fine. -
Inappropriate?I'm glad I ran across this page. I run a blog about MSG (monosodium glutamate) and I have been having the same problem. I got the no longer supporting this command also when I tried to post a message that started with "msg" and a space. Thanks.
