Twitter ghost account management?
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Hello. Twitter can contact the current owner of the @minnpost account on your behalf. Just log a support ticket at http://twitter.com/help
Be forewarned, though, that they're dealing with a bit of a backlog and that it may take 4 to 5 working days before you get a reply. You will, however, get an auto-confirmation email that your ticket was logged within minutes of logging it.
I know from another thread that Twitter has done this for another website before. -
Inappropriate?Sounds good. And I was not looking for insta-fix. Just breadcrumbs. I'll log a ticket with twitter.
I agree with the person who logged the similar request you linked to-- It's not clear that "Submit a Request" means "Log a support ticket" on help.twitter.com. Actually, I kind of thought I was logging a support ticket here at getsatisfaction! It's a little confusing...fyi. Now I see that these are "discussions" forum-style.
Thx for help. I'll post here what happens.
I’m thankful

Happy to help. Hope we get a happy ending. 8-) -
Inappropriate?Well. Sent a ticket to support. Have not heard anything. True, they are dealing with big big big problems lately, so I'll cut them some slack. But, still no resolution to this problem.
I’m mahnamanah

Inappropriate?Hi bigboxcar. Hope you don't me asking -- were you able to get a confirmation email from Twitter to acknowledge the ticket? If yes, can you try viewing the ticket that you had originally created by clicking the link in the confirmation email, and then posting a follow-up inquiry there?
I'm suggesting this because, in another thread, @crystal mentioned that they they had been migrating to a new support system and there were apparently replies made by Twitter support during that period that were not successfully emailed to the people that created the ticket. I suspect that's what happened in your case because the time frame fits.
If you can no longer access your original ticket, I'm afraid the only suggestion I can offer is to log (yet) another support issue at http://twitter.com/help to submit the request again. I'm a bit optimistic about you getting a reply because I received a confirmation email for a bug ticket that I had logged yesterday. -
Inappropriate?@mdy: Nope, no answer. Checked the ticket, and no reply/questions. I wrote a short note in the "Provide an Update" textbox asking if anyone was home.
I’m ugh.
