Twitter Grammar or A Twitter Style Guide
I'm looking to find (or create) a definitive Twitter style guide. It seems like many of the basic language of Twitter has been settled, but there are a few words that are not so clear.
Here's some examples.
A tweet is written by a _______.
Twitterer? Tweeter? Twit?!?
Is tweet a regular verb?
I tweet. You tweet. He/she tweets. We tweet. You tweet. They tweet.
What about past tense?
I tweeted? I twittered?
Would re-tweets follow the same pattern?
I haven't seen any problems with follow, since that is a pretty common word.
These just come to the top of my head, so if you have other grammar questions, please add them to this thread for the staff to consider.
Thanks,
Dustin

Inappropriate?I made this for a presentation at work:
Twitter = Platform
Twit = One who Tweets
Tweet = What the Twit is doing
Tweeps = Your favorite Twits
Tweeted = What the Twit did
“A twit is one who tweets on Twitter with their Tweeps”
As far as retweets are concerened, I think the rules are are basically the same.
