If you can log into the account now, simply change the password.

You can inform Twitter of the hacked account and try to get it restored (you may need to create a new account temporarily in order to communicate with Twitter): http://twitter.com/Twitter_Tips/statu...

In general, don't give your password out. (To prevent the same thing from happening, you would have to know what happened.)
