Every time when I log in Twitter, I check the "Remember me" box. But after restart or wake up from sleep my MacBook, Twitter seems forgot me and I have to input my username and password again.
It never happens in Firefox 3 rc2 for Mac.
PS, After the last time I reinstall Mac OS X, the problem disappeared. And it happened a few days later.

I've noticed you use Twitterrific as your Twitter client of choice.
There is a problem with Twitterrific and twitter.com. When Twitterrific has to perform certain tasks, it needs to trash your twitter.com cookies which are set when you login to twitter.com (whether it's using the remember me feature or not).
Try out the latest Twitterrific beta to see if it fixes the problem. You can download it here: http://files.iconfactory.net/software...

Feng Liu June 21, 2008 05:24Thank you! I tried to reboot my computer after login Twitter.com and open twitter.com before run Twitterrific.app. Everything is OK. I'm trying the beta version you gave me and seeing if it would be fine.EditDeleteRemove

Feng Liu June 21, 2008 05:30I've replaced the 3.1 version on the homepage of Twitter by the beta version you gave me. And the problem is still there. :(EditDeleteRemove

Ah, ok. All @Twitterrific said was the beta included rate limiting, proxy support, and "other fixes", and well, I haven't been logged out of Twitter.com recently because of Twitterrific, so I just assumed that was one of the "other fixes" ... but I guess not.
I suppose you should ask @Twitterrific on Twitter about it — see if they have a fix coming or not. -

Has anyone fixed this problem? It is really annoying, especially with improved web version of Twitter making me want to use it more...
-
The only person who can fix it may be the author of Twitterrific. I found I totally get used it since Twitter is much stable in these days and I don't need to go to the Twitter webpage very often.

Ok, thank you. I guess I'll just live with it, though recently I'm using the web more than Twitteriffic so maybe I'll just go the other way.

Hi, Wil.
Since this is a problem with Twitterrific, you may want to try out the latest Twitterrific beta http://bit.ly/3FL5Pa (3.2b3), as announced by @Twitterrific last month. While the "What's New" file doesn't list this as a bug fix, I personally haven't been having the issue lately (some others claim the problem is still there, though). Your mileage may vary.-
I just tried the beta version and it seems work! Thank you Chris.

Thanks Chris, I just got the beta, will respond if I see the problem again.

This didn't solve the problem for me. I've gone back to using the website or a different iPhone client and haven't had the problem again, so it is definitely something to do with Twitterriffic. Thanks for the help though.

Hi, Twitter doesn't 'remember me' either; but I don't use Twitteriffic.
I use twitterfox to have a quick link to twitter in my FireFox browser, and I never had a problem until about a week ago.
I had to log out of my main account, because I needed to update a second account. Now, twitter never remembers me. -
-
I also have this problem with Firefox on Windows at work and Safari on OS X at home. I don't use Twitterific at all but do use Tweetie on my iPhone.

-
I have the same problem using Twitter direct via the Twitter website, in both IE and Firefox. "Remember me" just never does.
