twitter not updating facebook status

Well I have the option turned on to update without asking me, and it still doesn't update.

I've got the same problem at the Giant.

i was trying to help a friend set up an account and add the app to her facebook page but it gave me that message and so she said eff it. fail. if this starts working again, hopefully i can get her to change her mind.

same problem as well...a few days ago twitter just stopped updating my facebook status. really annoying.

okay, the status and face twitter app are now working, but i'm gunna be annoying and point out that now my status always starts with "joey is" instead of the previous "joey is twittering:" and i know it's not a HUGE deal, but it made more sense to say "joey is twittering: I'm Done!" than to say "joey is I'm Done!" see what i'm saying?

Just wanted to pipe in and say that some folks have suggested trying the TwitterSync Facebook app in the meantime. 8-)

I had the exact same problem people have been talking about here. Twitter seems to be updating Facebook now.. but it no longer says "... is twittering: ...." so... that kinda sucks... now I have to change my twitting ways? IDK... What's going on... why is this happening

it's working for me, I just texted my update to twitter and it updated on my facebook. And it doesn't say "is twittering". I hope it's working for everyone else too.

Over the past few days, i have noticed a trend. I have a twitter-Facebook link running fine till a few days ago. Now if you have Facebook open and Twitter open on seperate browers. Update Twitter using website: Twitter is updated but Facebook does not update!!! Close Facebook & tiwtter, update Twitter via phone. Open Twitter & FB, both are updated!!!! Absolutly repeatable excersice

I can't get twitter to let me get an answer - nevermind find the fix -- it doesn't recognize me as signed in or my name and password from this tool.

In facebook try going to the left column and select "edit" next to the application. Go down to Twitter (if you have it installed of course) and click "edit settings". From there turn on "Application may update my status without notifying me." Does this help everyone with issues? I just deleted TwitterSync. Also, when I click on twitter as an application I get a bunch of strange code, but it looks ok in my profile feed.

@RyInSpace yes, I've told the Facebook app to allow twitter to update my status. It's still not working. This isn't a complaint about not knowing how to configure the application, it's a complaint about the application not doing what it's supposed to.

This app has NEVER worked for me, it doesn't update my FB staus, it just displays updates on my profile page which is utterly useless. I get the RFacebook environment information someone posted above.
Why hasn't it been fixed in 3 months?

Twitter is updating my Facebook status at the top of the page, but the previous tweets are not appearing in the Facebook history. Is this a facebook problem or twitter problem?

To solve this issue, I simply started using ping.fm, which allows me to update Facebook, Twitter, Pownce, Brightkite and any other social networks with status updates with the same wording, simultaneously. Works flawlessly.
