Twitter support automatically closed ticket without response and now won't let me reopen or submit a new ticket

I have submitted a ticket to twitter regarding an issue some time ago.

There has been no response, however I have now received an automated email saying:
It's been a little while and we haven't been able to get to your request. Twitter is a free service, and while we try to provide as much help as we can, we can't get to every email. Sorry about that! ...

and:
... If none of these resources have helped you and your issue is urgent, please reply to this email and let us know. There is no need for duplicate requests, one is sufficient.

As the email didn't resolve my issues and my problem is not on the 'Known Issues' list, I replied to the email as directed.

I have now got another reply back, saying:

You tried to update a ticket which has been closed. Please create a new ticket and refer to the closed ticket id in case this is a follow up.

Frustrated, I logged into Twitter Support to try and reopen the ticket - but as the ticket is 'closed' I cannot do that.

Therefore my last resort was to try and submit a new ticket referring back to the original issue... But the option to submit a ticket disappears when I log in!

Extremely frustrating, and I can't find any way to resolve this problem now.

By the way, I have also emailed the Terms email address several weeks ago to get assistance with this issue with NO reply.
