Twitter to ruin Summize?
I really was looking forward to Summize crawling all of the social sites and keeping me updated in real time. I guess that is not going to happen now. :(

Inappropriate?I would think now that Summize is part of Twitter, something else will eventually pop up in it's place.
I’m undecided
-
Inappropriate?Didn't the Summize engineers join Twitter? I'm not sure how that can ruin things. Sounds like they're combining forces to make things better, but maybe I'm missing something.
I’m not alarmed

Inappropriate?Eric,
What you are missing is Summize had also planned to search other social communities like Pownce, Jaiku etc.... Now that Twitter has purchased Summize that is not going to happen. Believe it or not there are other options for micro-blogging besides Twitter. ;)
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?I don't think I am missing that. I just don't know that it is possible to predict what Summize would have become.
-
Predict? No prediction.. this was what the Summize staff told us (the users) they were going to do. Maybe if you payed attention to Summize pre-twitter you would understand why we are upset. -
Sorry to stir up your ire, Robert. I am simply saying that I am happy with the way things turned out. -
No worries, just trying to explain why a lot of people who use Summize are upset that they will only be searching Twitter from now On. Kind of feels like Microsoft buying a service to keep it all to themselves and keep it from working with any competitors services. I really don't think this is a step up for Summize but a step down.
