Twitter website down 5/19/08

exador23, you need to learn how to tell TwitterTime. First, you take a clock. Then you ignore whatever time is on it. Whatever time it's not, that's when Twitter will be down. Hope this reply is the one that solves the problem. Time for a cheap BrightKite plug. Go there and look for me. It actually works ;) Oh, I see Jack responded. Don't look at me. I have an alibi.

Keep Twitter down for two hours and get your 'special' maintenance done now. Why waste our time TWICE or more each day?

i just posted a message via twirl and that worked, I can't get to the website, some things are moving, just very slow, just what I needed to wake up to see.

I think that is broken too, its abit strange that twirl did not give me an error message when I tweeted, it normally does when twitter is down

appears to be back up, but tweets are splayed across the screen overlapping the user/profile/followers area.

I browse with the G4 build of Camino 1.6, so not your typical viewing environment.

I can't remove someone I'm following. I keep getting and error message saying something went wrong, refresh my browser and try again. I've tried. 10 times. I guess I'm the dumb one to keep trying. ;)

I can't follow someone, this is frustrating, as I don't want to remember their name and come back to this later...

I just started twittering today, and was able to "follow" a few people before the site went down. Now whenever I hit the Follow button I get the "Something went wrong" alert.

It's probably all of the Zappos employees

They are taking Twitter by storm :)

curious what the slow down was. I'm beginning to see suspected bot followers phishing for return followers, like this one...
