Updates number wrong (way too high)
My twitter home page shows the wrong number of updates - about twice the number of updates I've actually made. Having such an inflated number is a bit off-putting to folks, as it doesn't accurately reflect my frequency of tweets, so I'd love to get this resolved if possible.
I do use HootSuite much of the time - is it possible that this is the cause?

Inappropriate?How long has this been going on? Did the number just change now? This happens to me quite a bit and it usually resolves itself within 24 hours. It happens when twitter's server is overloaded and too many tweets are going on at once. That's all I know about that. -
Inappropriate?My update number jumped by 6000+ on one day, May 7, and has not self-corrrected in the week since. Wouldn't that be more indicative of a database issue?
I’m not sure "it usually resolves itself" was as useful a response as I'd hoped for...

Inappropriate?my updates went from 500 something to 1000 something over night. i checked my twitterstats to be sure i was right, and i was. i submitted this problem and may 6th and nothing has been done about it yet

Glad to hear I'm not alone... As mentioned, the big issue is that it can discourage people from following you, if it looks like your tweet volume is high-Nuclear! -
Inappropriate?yes and its over a week and they STILL haven't fixed it. its a bit annoying. als youre the only one that i have found that also has this problem.

Inappropriate?Yes, this appears to be an aberration, rather than a common bug that affects a lot of people. I hesitated to submit a support ticket in case it was related to the on-going database issues, but looks like it will be necessary now.

mhm, but anyway, was checking the number of my updates and it's wrong. it shows up that it's about 931 updates but actually it's 883, really. i have deleted some tweets and i selected them all (ctrl+c/v) after that and the twitter counted about 833.. (i don't know if you know what i mean)
hm, i just want it to get fixed..
