Viewing @ replies to people whom you don't follow

I miss seeing peoples @ replies when I dont have both parties added. Sometimes with celebrities I like to see what questions they answer without going to their page constantly or see them respond to famous people not on my follower list. Its a great way to find out when people from bands get twitters because their friends talk to them. I wish we could chose individually whom we see ALL replies to and the ones whom we only care about if they and the person they are talking to are on our friends list. I know I could just go to their page but I want to keep up with a few people and it gets to be a pain.
