What's wrong with my "friend_requests" page? I did got the notification mails

Dear twitter staff:

I am a twitter user from China. I wrote blogs for years, and since 2008 I've been spreading Twitter in my blog. So there are some people follow me everyday. And now since the censorship by our government is getting more and more strict and unreasonable, I decide to protect my account.

I tried to turn on the protect mode for a while but some of my readers told me that they still cannot follow me.

I did receive the notification mail but when I went to http://twitter.com/friend_requests there is nothing.

Is there anything wrong with that feature or was it due to my account? Thanks in advance!
