when did i join?
I used to be able to see the date I joined twitter in my profile. I liked this but it is especially helpful when trying to avoid spambots. Please consider adding this back in. When I asked if it was available somewhere I wasn't looking, several mentioned they would like that information as well. Thanks!

Inappropriate? While this might not be the specific answer you're looking for, if you send: 'whois USERNAME' from your phone or IM it should return the month and year you joined.

Inappropriate? There are a couple of other ways to get this info:
1. You can also use the "show" API method to check the exact date and time.
If your browser can handle XML pages, just go to:
http://twitter.com/users/show/YOURUSE...
but change YOURUSERNAME to your actual username.
The Twitter API will prompt you to provide your Twitter user id and password.
The XML page that appears after you've logged in includes a "created_at" field that contains the exact date and time you created your Twitter account.
The value that's returned will look like this:
< created_at > Fri Sep 14 16:21:21 +0000 2007 < /created_at >
2. You can use a third-party service called @followinger.
To use this service, follow it using your Twitter account. It will automatically follow you back. You can then send it a direct message with the format:
d followinger YOURUSERNAME
It will reply via direct message with information about your account.
For example, when I sent 'd followinger scobleizer', I got the following reply back:
scobleizer: created 2006-11-20. follows 21158 has 24094 followers (0.88/1) 11978 tweets and 9 favs
