Am I missing something? (not a techie) It seems that i can't use twitter w/ MSN Messenger? Is this coming or should I switch IM's? If switch to twitter, any suggestions? Know who is good and work w/my msn contacts?

Inappropriate?Everybody using msn is frustrated. That's because it is a messaging protocol from the stone age. Get yourself over to Jabber. Choose a server that has an msn-transport and you can talk to your msn-buddies through Jabber. Add the twitter bot to your Jabber roster and you can update your twitterpage. I can recommend the jabberlive server for Jabber they have a nice community too.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Have u tried http://imified.com they have a twitter extension that is awesome.. I use it via Meebo
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Yup - there are some third party solutions for using Twitter and MSN. But it's still our hope to offer a native implementation like we do with Jabber.

Inappropriate?TwitterIM seems to be dead (it last shipped messages to Twitter in July 2007). Can anyone recommend a similar sort of solution that still works? The goal is to be able to tweet from the Xbox. ;-)
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? You should go over to Jabber for IM. As the majority of people do these days.Twitter has an excellent Jabber bot that lets you publish right from your favorite Jabber client. I recommend using your Xbox for gaming. I think It was build for that purpose.

Inappropriate?I do use Jabber for IM, which is dandy for when I'm in front of my computers, and I already use Twitter's Jabber bot. It'd be nice to tweet a barbaric yawp or two without having to put down the controller is all. Guess I'll have to whip up my own private MSN-to-Twitter gateway; I just didn't want to waste the time if there was already a working solution out there.
I’m doing it myself, thanks anyway

Inappropriate?Well I think there is already an MSN/Twitter applications, they are 3rd party, as micorsoft doesn't really need to modify its code for any service that comes up , but they do Add-In framework, and API, that can be used you make your msn messenger work in they way you want, i already made a Twitter Add-In for my MSN Messenger Live, that updates my Twitter status every time i change my personal status message, of course it can do more, it can get me notifications about my friends, and all sort of functions you want..
its just a trivial thing to do anyway
