Where are all these SPAM followers coming from w/o notices
I am not getting emails of new followers and i'm getting a few a day that are SPAM accounts. A SPAM overrun could really clog Twitter.

Inappropriate?I read on a blog that Twitter founder, Evan Williams, has said that Twitter will NOT email you a notification of the person following you if they're a spammer. While this might be inconvenient, it protects you. Even though you want to block the spammer, it protects you.
What do follow-spammers want? They want those thousands of emails to go out saying they followed you with a link to their profile. Twitter will detect these people as possible spammers, and while under investigation will NOT send out these follower emails from this person following you.
