Why are links breaking when I post them?
Some links are breaking off while being converted to a tinyurl.
The full-length url is getting cut off when getting converted into a tinyurl when i go to post. The url fits in the character length, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Inappropriate? Can you give an example of a broken URL? I have seen this problem when the URL has a comma within, e. g. Google Maps links. I mentioned this in http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter/to...
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Here's an example
http://www1.millionezhits.c... about 6 hours ago
FULL URL SHOULD BE
http://www1.millionezhits.com/?rid=588
Am I doing something wrong?
Please advise & many thanks

Inappropriate?Hi,
hm... I tried your example URL: No problem. It is neither shortend nor crippled added by using the web update. May be you didn't notice the visable part of the URL is only the part you mentioned but the link is complete and clickable!?
But try a link like "http://maps.google.com/maps?q=54.50961886,9.75718088" and it will be shortened (ok, it is to long) but not correctly but cut at the comma :-(... so the shortened URL does not lead to the expected target. No advice found yet except shortening the URL before and enter the shortened URL.
Regards
Peter

Inappropriate?I'm finding that I can't open (in IE or Firefox) links that are automatically shortened by Twitter (bit.ly links). Anyone else having this problem?

Inappropriate?I just had the same problem. I entered just the link: http://www.dataaccess.com/blogs, and the tweet is appearing as http://www.dataaccess.com/b...
You can see it here http://twitter.com/dataaccessww.
I tried something longer, and it worked: http://www.yahoo.com/sunshine. I have no idea why.
Any suggestions.

Hi,
in fact you have no problem. My above reply is valid for you too. Have a look at the link (the REAL link not the text of the link appearing in your tweet) or - if your browser does not show you the link itself in a status bar or something similar - just click on the link and you will see that the link is complete and leads exactly to what you posted as link.
There are lots of links really broken byt twitter (try a google maps link or any other link which includes a comma) but your link isn't.
Bye
Peter
