Why can't I approve requests to follow me?
I've received 3 email requests to follow me on twitter and when I click the link (http://twitter.com/friend_requests) to approve, I get taken to this page:
?
How do I approve these requests

Inappropriate?Hm. Do you by any chance have a private account that you recently made public?
I ask because that's the same error message I get when I try to view follower requests using a public account.
You can try setting your account to private at http://twitter.com/account/settings and see if that makes any difference. -
Inappropriate?I did start out with a private account and then switched it public. So you're probably right about that causing the problem. Now it seems to be working OK because I'm just getting notified that new people are following me and I don't have to approve the requests. Thanks for the tip!
I’m feeling better about twitter

Inappropriate?Still can't approve followers to kildrum.

Hi kildrum. You appear to have a public account, since I can see your tweets at http://twitter.com/kildrum.
The feature for approving followers only applies to protected or private accounts. Since you have a public account, anyone is allowed to follow you.
You can learn more about the differences between public and private accounts at this page in Twitter's help desk: click here to see. -
