Why do I need a log-in to get RSS for my replies?
If I click the RSS link (http://twitter.com/statuses/replies.rss) on the replies page (http://twitter.com/replies), I get asked for my Twitter API log-in and password. I don't have one, but still want an RSS link for my replies.
What should I do? Is this a bug?
Thanks,
Chris

Inappropriate?Replies are considered private and therefore require authentication (a valid username and password). You use your Twitter username and password to login via the API.
Because the Replies feed requires authentication, you'll need to use an RSS reader that can handle authenticated RSS feeds.
In my case, I just use http://twittermail.com (it emails me a copy of all @replies I receive). It's a third-party service that's not affiliated with Twitter. The caveat: you'll have to give them your Twitter password to use their service. -
so the Twitter API por-up I am receiving asking for name and password To uodate RSS feed is NOT a bug? is safe to respond?
