Why does my account automatically follow new followers??
I am having the following issue for a while now: When people follow me, it seems there is a setting that makes me follow them automatically back. I need to to manually look at the profiles and see if I want to indeed follow them. Can you please help as this is very time-consuming? Thanks.

Inappropriate?Hi infosourcer. Did you by any chance recently use a third-party app that offers an auto-follow feature? Something like socialtoo.com or tweetlater.com?
I ask because a few other users have reported similar behavior only to realize later that it was a third-party app setting.
One easy way to test this would be to change your Twitter password to something else -- a third-party app can take action on your behalf without knowing the correct password.

Thanks! You were right about Socialtoo- there is a setting that you can change to do not automatically follow those that follow you so I did not have to change my Twitter password but that worked!!
