why does my background design disappear?
I need to re-upload my background image over and over again because it goes "away" somehow.

Inappropriate?Mine too. And when I upload a new version, it seems to randomly choose between any of the 4 backgrounds I've uploaded including no background at all. I can't find anything on the Twitter help page.

Inappropriate?I've had intermittent results about uploading a background image. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Inappropriate?I may have found a workaround. I think the bug about the background image occurs only with certain themes. In my case, I had been using the black dotted theme.
Workaround:
1. Select the Classic Twitter theme (it's the last theme in the group).
2. Click Save Changes.
3. Go back to the design tab, and click Change Background Image.
If you don't see your desired image in the left box, then click Browse and select your image saved on your computer. If it's working, your image will be display as a preview.
If you see your desired image in the left box, then click the box to select the image. You should see your image displayed as a preview.
4. Click Save Changes.
