why does my profile show I have 8 followers but only 2 are pictured?

hmm. anybody know whats going on? I have 8 followers but can only see two. makes me want to cancel twitter.

I'm fairly new to Twitter. The first person I followed is showing, but the 134 others are not! I can't seem to find where I can address this to Twitter. Also I can't find myself in search. I'm very discouraged with Twitter!

I ve got the same problem and I find it a bit silly, wot s the fun in Twitter if you don't know who's following you ??

I already posted days ago but I find it quite silly Twitter isnt responding to this issue or maybe they are just not to this thread...how do I get in touch with twitter personnel directly? aren't they supposed to be the next big thing??

I too have 3 people following me and I can only see 2 people. I thought because I'm new to Twitter I missed something but seems like it's happening to alot of people.

Should we all contact customer service, because I too have invisible followers... kinda creepy. Especially since I have already blocked what appear to be raunchy slutty followers (complete strangers who look like they are in "business").

Same problem. 39 followers but just 30 showed up

Shortly after I first signed up for Twitter I removed all my followers and it still said I had 4 but I could not see any. I now have 2 visible followers but it says I have 10 so I now have 8 phantom followers.

having the same problem and I am "Not Happy Jan" (sorry Australian thing). Looks like I am far from alon and I wonder if customer service or support read these forums and actually do anything about them?

We've confirmed reports of inaccurate follow counts, and we're working on fixing the problem.

Why is this happening?
Your follow counts could be wrong because suspended (spam) accounts or deleted accounts are still being factored into the count. When this happens, your count says 13 but when you visit your followers page, you see a different number of people.

What can I do?
