Why is my 'puter taking me to The Washington Post when I access Twitter?

50+% of the time I go to Twitter - my browser takes me to The Washington Post. I clear the cache, restart, etc, and it still happens. When I finally do get to Twitter there isn't anything special I've done to correct the problem. It seems very random as to timing and sometimes I can't access Twitter for hours. It's pissing me off as Twitter plays a role in my company's social media marketing efforts. And It's the only site I experience this problem with. The problem happens using Safari and Firefox. (When I tried to submit this question the link took me to the Post - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!)
