why isn't any of my contacts updates being sent to my mobile as set up?
I have it set up to send updates to my cell phone, it is registered, confirmed and I can post to twitter from my cell, but twitter SENDS ME NOTHING! Not even the nudge to update every 24 hours as it is set up to.
I have scoured each setting for any possible reason, I removed my cell phone and re-set it up, and still nothing.

Inappropriate?Hello. Hope you don't mind a few questions.
1. Could you kindly check your homepage sidebar at http://twitter.com/home to see 'phone' is selected for device updates instead of 'web only'?
2. Is it correct to assume that you have device notifications set to ON for your phone in http://twitter.com/devices?
3. Please check your Friends list at http://twitter.com/friends and make sure at least one of them has notifications set to ON. Twitter will only send you updates from people for whom you've set notifications to ON. When we first follow someone, device notifications are OFF.
4. Do you get a reply at all when you send ON to Twitter from your phone? You should get a 'notifications are now on' message.
5. Are you by any chance in Italy? I ask because sms delivery is currently suspended in Italy.
6. Are you by any chance in Canada? I ask because Twitter sometimes needs to perform an additional step for Canadians who want to receive via sms.
Since you can update your tweets via sms, I think it's safe to assume you have your phone verified correctly. -

1- was set to phone.
2- assumed correctly: device was set to on.
3- Have 5 people set to device notifications.
4- No reply received from twitter the last 3 times I sent "on" to twitter. (I've never received ANY reply or notification or updates from twitter.)
5- While it would be very cool to live there, unfortunately I am not in Italy.
6- Absolutely in Canada. I intend to send the info requested (see link from above answer - question # 6) to support@twitter.com and see if handcoding is what is required to fix the problem!

I hope it works too. Also, fwiw, it usually takes 4 to 5 days before someone from Twitter responds to a support request. But you should receive an auto-confirmation email to confirm that the support request was received. -

Inappropriate?I received an email today saying my info was forwarded to the SMS provider, and should receive a follow up email/ it should be fixed within 24-48 hours.
Again, I will update if it's fixed!
