Why was my friend disappear in follower and following list? I try to re-follow him but it can't, what happen?

Inappropriate?This just happened to me as well. I had 10 followers, all of which I accepted yesterday. Today I logged on and they were gone, however I had 9 "new" requests. They weren't really new - All of them were the same ones I had approved earlier. I went through the process and re-accepted them. Then they all disappeared. Sorry - bit you can't tell me 10 separate people decided to drop me simultaneously.

It would probably help them investigate if you could also include any of the user names that you happen to remember from that list of 10 people.2 Comments

Thanks, I have done that. I'm seeing a pattern - they disappear when I remove them from my "Following" list. I still want them as followers though, but it appears to be an all or nothing thing at the moment.

Inappropriate?Hi, Brigid. Yes, the behavior that you describe exists with private accounts.
For the moment, the only way to give someone access to the tweets in a private account is to follow them back. Based on discussions regarding private accounts in this related thread, I believe Twitter intends to change that.
However, I'm inclined to believe that they will first stabilize Twitter as a whole and get IM back up before they will roll out that change. -
Inappropriate?The most of my following/followers have dissapeared and I did nothing. I've got a private account. What's the matter with twitter? I ask myself why! 2 years in twitter.
