Wish to change username, but username is taken but unused?
Hi there,
I joined twitter a while ago, and was a bit disappointed to find out I couldn't have the username "tomglenn" (My first and last name), so I went with "tomeglenn" (My first name, middle initial and last name).
I have just realised, however, that the user who has the username "tomglenn" has never even used their account...
So I was just wondering, if it would be at all possible for the Twitter staff to evaluate whether that user is likely to use it in the near future, and if not, possibly delete the account so that the name could be given to someone who is using the service (i.e. me, lol)

Inappropriate?Hi Tom. The recommended process for requesting an unused user name is to log a support ticket at http://twitter.com/help
In the support ticket, please indicate the username you'd like to have, and the username of the account that you currently have which you'd like renamed.
As Sam has noted above, there is unfortunately a bit of a support backlog, so it can take several days before you hear back from support. -
Inappropriate?I wonder how much backlog there is. I'd like to get in touch with a human working at Twitter to give me an indication. I'm still waiting for a reply (T _ T)
I see others getting their name change done. Not sure how they managed it, but still, I can't get a response from the person keeping the name taken..
