yeah that is annoying isn't it. There is no permanent fix really. We update once every 24 hours and that is the moment we pick up new avatars too. What you can do (and what I always do when I see it) is go to that account on TwitterCounter and do a manual update. That fixes it...

Kerry: you are confusing two different services. TwitterRemote is very different from TwitterCounter. The people above were having issues with twitterCounter which are all solved now.
