Does Twitterfeed need RSS 2.0 Last reply on April 04, 2008 11:02.

Does Twitterfeed only work with RSS 2.0? I caould not get it to recognize my url http://www.wibw.com/news/headlines/in...
Originally I thought it was a problem with the pubDate, because of my error message, but then saw this and realized i was using a 0.92 feed.

difference between http and https on openid? Last reply on March 31, 2008 11:41.

When I log in if I use https rather than http it doesn't find my tweet feeds
would be nice if it deduplicated the OpenID ;)

Is there character limit, and a question of flitering Last reply on March 27, 2008 22:16.

new, but liking what I see so far... however, in the 2 posts I have gotten to work, they both seem to cut off at 40 character, then paste the url link. Is there a limit on the number of characters?
Question 2. I have yet to get the keyword filtering field to work properly... is this a functioning component? If so, do they need "quotes" around word? and will it pull with any part of that word. e.g. if the keyword is "word" will it pull if the post has "wordpress" in it?
Thanks Mario, I hope this thing really flies for you.

Does this function with multiple twitter accounts? Last reply on March 27, 2008 21:11.

Can I send to different twitter accounts - logged in under a single twitterfeed user account - from the same blog feed? (whether directed based on keywords or not?) Or do I need a twitterfeed account for each?

Say I want my twitter that my wife follows to pick up stuff with keyword wife, but want my twitter that my girlfriend follows to only pick up stuff with keyword girlfriend. Can I twitterfeed those from the same blog?

Above example hypothetical, of course. ;-)

Is it possible to filter posts that do not contain particular keywords? Last reply on March 27, 2008 10:20.

I use Twitterfeed to send people's Facebook status updates to a private Twitter account, subsequently receiving these updates on my mobile.

This works very well, however some of the people whom I follow on Twitter synchronise their Twitter updates to Facebook. It would be good if I could remove their Facebook status updates, which are always duplicates, from the Twitterfeed but I can see no way of achieving this.

Thank you for an excellent application.

My TwitterFeed isn't updating... Last reply on March 11, 2008 17:18.

    My TwitterFeed isn't updating....

I've just added two feeds to TwitterFeed on Friday. Both worked fine initially - they tweeted when a new item was added to each feed. But now one of them, my blog feed, is not tweeting the existence of a new item even though the RSS feed has been updated. The TwitterFeed page reports everything is OK and that the last item was published on Friday - but the last item was published on Saturday.

    Things I've checked:

    - Hourly update is on
    - I've verified the feed URL (http://feeds.feedburner.com/ianhockin...) is valid XML; I've swapped that FeedBurner feed with the original feed (http://ianhocking.com/?feed=rss2) in case FeedBurner was the problem, but that still hasn't helped - the new feed is also valid XML
    - The feed is public, requires no password
    - The feed gets picked up fine by Google Reader and NetNewsFire

    Any ideas?

    Best
    Ian

How can I display *just* message and tinyurl in tweets? Last reply on February 15, 2008 08:49.

Here's what I posted on Pownce:

James Lileks, writing a few days ago: "I think markets are inevitably rational, but it’s odd how the eventual rational judgments seem comprised of a million individual irrational freakouts."

Here's what showed up on Twitter:

brentnewhall: James Lileks, writing a few days ago: "I think markets...: James Lileks, writing a few.. http://tinyurl.com/27wfut

Is there any way I could change that to just:

I would like to have multiple users for one account provide updates...to be used as a virtual company water cooler...is this possible? If yes, how? (Vs. replies) Last reply on February 13, 2008 22:46.

Multiple Users providing updates to one twitter account vs. using a reply method..unless of course they are replying to an original thread.
