Delete, don't truncate URLs
Truncating at 140 characters often chops up URLs. Can Twitterfeed back up to the start of http:// (or https://) and delete all of the URL instead of creating invalid (or worse) links? See http://identi.ca/notice/1548123 . Detecting whether it's a URL requires backing up until you find http:// https:// or whitespace.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the suggestion - yes, I can see what you're saying. At the moment twitterfeed shortens the actual item link, but if there is a link inside the title or description of a post, it doesn't recognise this. It would require some additional parsing of the content I guess (at the moment content is just stripped of any HTML formatting/tags, then truncated as required) - I'll see if can implement something along these lines when I next to some updates.

Inappropriate?I am surprised that more people aren't expressing the need for this feature. So many tweets have a link at the end that points to an original source with additional content, especially news sources and bloggers.
