Feed still tweets, despite feed being deleted
I removed a feed from my account, yet it still gets fed into twitter on every update. The feed is for http://ambrose.edu and goes to the account AmbroseUC. I deleted the feed a few days ago as we integrated twitter directly into the website for increased customization, and the feed no longer appears in our twitterfeed account, yet it still tweets away

Inappropriate? If it's still posted, it means the feed is still in there - probably because you may have set it up under more than one OpenID. Go to https://twitterfeed.com/reminder and enter the twitter username/password, this should show you the OpenID used to set up the feed that is still in the system.
If for some reason you can't log in using that OpenID listed, you could log in using any other OpenID, then go to https://twitterfeed.com/transfer, which will move the feed to the currently logged-in OpenID, and you can edit/delete it under "my feeds". -
Inappropriate? How strange, someone else had it registered under their account too for some reason. Either way, I transferred it back to mine and deleted it
Thank you very much!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I've followed the directions Mario listed above, but I can't locate the feed. It's my Delicious feed and it does not show up in "my feeds", but feeds to my Twitter account via Twitterfeed.
Any ideas?
I’m frustrated
-
We were never able to track down the source of the problem. I tried making one of my feeds inactive to see if maybe the Delicious links were being fed through that feed, but it still posted today. So I've made all my feeds inactive to see if it works. Please post if you find another solution. -
Dave - what is the twitter account you're posting to, and the feed URL? -
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. I looked up OpenID and I get the following message:
We couldn't find a matching twitter username and password in our database.
I’m frustrated
-
What exactly is the problem? And could you let me know the twitter account and feed URL, so I'll be able to take a closer look if you like. -
Inappropriate?I am having the same issue. There are no feeds listed, I don't have another ID and yet tweets still post to my BriAZ861 Twitter acct....?
-
I can't see this twitter account in the db, and the last post from twitterfeed was 21 hours ago, so not sure if this is still anywhere in the system. If you think it is, can you let me know the feed URL as I can try and search for it that way. -
Inappropriate?A tweet posted from my Etsy shop, QuietMind.Etsy.com to my Facebook at 6:48AM. Do you need more info? Thanks for your help.
-
Inappropriate?Just did a Twwet to test and still going to Facebook
-
There must be some misunderstanding - twitterfeed only posts updates from your RSS feed to twitter, so when you enter a status update manually in twitter and it gets sent to facebook, this has nothing to do with twitterfeed. You must have something like the twitter facebook application installed, or something similar, which updates your facebook status whenever you update twitter. But this is definitely not twitterfeed. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem as everyone else. I confirmed that I only have 1 open ID. My feed have completely been deleted but yet there are tweets still being send from my account. Can you please look into this?
Thanks
I’m sad

There is still a feed in the db posting to "houstontweeps", it's been set up using a Yahoo! OpenID, if that helps. -
Inappropriate?Hello Mario,
I have removed the feeds from my Yahoo OpenID account for houstontweeps. So I do not understand why it still shows in the DB. Can you please remove it. Thanks -
OK - could you send a "@twfeed" message on twitter from the houstontweeps account please - that will prove to me that you own the twitter account, and I'll delete it manually. -
Inappropriate?Hi Mario, thanks for twitterfeed.
I use twitterfeed to post wiki changes (via soup.io) to identi.ca accounts for the wikis. From identi.ca they are forwarded into the twitter accounts for the wikis. I had before used twitterfeed to post directly to both the twitter and the identi.ca account for a wiki. I must not do such, it loops! I there fore deleted all the twitterfeed -> twitter accounts. That ended loopings ~ in january 09.
Now I see that twitter VeneziaWiki and identi.ca veneziawiki loop again, grr. I tried the reminder and transfer pages without success. Could you please terminate all twitter accounts for the wikis. I'll send "@twfeed please terminate twitter VeneziaWiki" as VeneziaWiki and I'll do similar on any other wiki the problem might occur for. Thank you.

I’m undecided
-
Ok, done that.. -
Inappropriate?Mario, that worked, great! Thanks. I sent "@twfeed please terminate twitter account ...Wiki" for all twitter accounts that can possibly have any remains on twitterfeed. Probably a third of them never had a twitter connection. But I don't remember which ones I had tried it on, so I pinged you from all of them. Sorry for the hustle. Another short confirm when done is very appreciated.
Then I can be sure that there won't be any unintended aerobatics anymore ;)

I’m more than happy
-
Yes, I saw these - is there a reason you can't log in? From what I can see, you should be able to login with a myOpenID account ("Sign In with OpenID", click on the "myOpenID" image and enter your username).
If you can do that, then this is likely quicker - if not, let me know and I'll delete the feeds going to the accounts which have sent @twfeed messages, but this may likely take a little longer. -
Inappropriate?I can log in with my myOpenId but there are only feed leading to identi.ca in the list. Not a single one to twittter. At least in case of the Venezia-wiki there must have been remains of a former feed to twitter which were invisible for me. After you deleted then things worked fine again. I'd like to be sure that these remains really are gone for all the wikis. Thanks again.

Sorry to be difficult, could I ask you to delete all the ones you see when you're logged in under the myOpenID account, and then let me know if you see accounts still tweeting? I could then check if these are under a different account. Many thanks! -
Inappropriate?Alright, it is for a good purpose. I deleted 34 feeds in my list which is now empty. It felt like tearing the aorta out of the wiki-net ;) I guess nothings sending Mμs ("tweeting") anymore. It didn't since about February, only recently the Venezia-wiki (I have no idea why) until you deleted the twitter remains. I'd have to controll all identi.ca + twitter accounts for the 34 to make sure they are really silent. Anyhow, the affair is too touchy not to be redone from scratch. Do you find anything left over now?
