I can't get any feeds to work with twitter feed: date/time stamps and GUID errors
Yes, I have this problem too.
Blog: http://blogs.babiesonline.com
Twitter account: babiesonline
First I tried using a feedburner feed url:
http://feeds.babiesonline.com/babieso...
Then I added the Wordpress feed url:
http://blogs.babiesonline.com/?feed=rss
Neither one works. I only get the ever popular error:
We couldn't find date/time stamps on items. Please make sure your feed contains valid pubDate entries for each post, or select 'based on GUID' in twitterfeed settings.
(Side note, I had to view the source code to see the full error. The yellow triangle only generates this text when you hover over: We couldn't find date/time stamps on items. Please make sure your feed contains valid...)
Of course, that was all based on the setting 'Post new items based on PubDate'
So I added the both urls a second time, with the GUID option selected
The wordpress feed (http://blogs.babiesonline.com/?feed=rss)
At first generated the error: we couldn't parse this feed, please check the URL is valid. we'll keep trying.
Then I added the feedburner feed
http://feeds.babiesonline.com/babieso...
Now both feeds with the GUID option selected generate the error:
We couldn't find GUIDs on items. Please make sure your feed contains GUIDs for each post, or select 'based on pubDate' in twitterfeed settings.
And both feeds with the Pubdate option selected generate the error:
We couldn't find date/time stamps on items. Please make sure your feed contains valid pubDate entries for each post, or select 'based on GUID' in twitterfeed settings.
This is no fun :(

Inappropriate? The problem is that the feed format you chose didn't contain either a pubDate or a GUID on items, but twitterfeed needs at least one or the other to figure out whether a post is new.
A quick solution would be to use the RSS 2.0 feed format from http://blogs.babiesonline.com/?feed=rss2 - this contains a pubDate, so should work better. -
Inappropriate?Hi Mario,
I too have this issue but am using the correct URL for the pubDate as you have described above:
http://blog.wiseelephant.com/?feed=rss
What am I missing? -
Inappropriate? It's the same - use the RSS 2.0 feed at http://blog.wiseelephant.com/?feed=rss2 which contains pubDate elements - the URL you were using is RSS 0.92 without any pubDates.
