Is there character limit, and a question of flitering
new, but liking what I see so far... however, in the 2 posts I have gotten to work, they both seem to cut off at 40 character, then paste the url link. Is there a limit on the number of characters?
Question 2. I have yet to get the keyword filtering field to work properly... is this a functioning component? If so, do they need "quotes" around word? and will it pull with any part of that word. e.g. if the keyword is "word" will it pull if the post has "wordpress" in it?
Thanks Mario, I hope this thing really flies for you.

Inappropriate?Re. the lenght of posts: Where exactly the text gets truncated depends on a few things. In order to make sure the entire post fits into the with friends timeline, twitterfeed has 140 characters to play with. From that, it takes off the length of the twitter id, the pre-string (if any) and the URL (if any), and then cuts off the text at the relevant place. So in theory at least it should be pretty optimised to get as much text in there as possible, but if you have an example of where this isn’t the case, please let me know some details and I’ll take a look.
Re. the filtering, this should work in a very simple way, with no need for quotes. So yes, just entering "word" (without the quotes) in the box should match posts containing wordpress (also, it's not case sensitive). -
Inappropriate?I understand the process, and it would make sense, but thats not what is happening. Here is an example:
Original post: (wordpress.com)
so now in the Vanusa account I have removed linkage url and removed prefic and set to description only... does this add to this length of the post? 151
What showed up in twitter and on thwirl:
vancouverusa so now in the Vanusa account I have remo ... http://tinyurl.com/yqgbva 15 minutes ago from twitterfeed
Any ideas? Thanks for the timely reply.

Inappropriate? Most recent post a few minutes ago actually worked for the character count issue. Not sure what I changed, but I'll go with it. Now to focus on the keyword issue. I deleted the feed and created again to see if a fresh start would help. I'll let you know

Inappropriate?FWIW, after multiple tests, some info I figured out and pass along for others, if you already know this, please ignore it after the fact. ;-)
If you have a blog post Without a title, and send twitterfeed set up with "Title only" it will send the first 40 or so characters of your post and truncate the rest. If you have it set up with "Desc only" it will send the whole thing (subject to the 140).
So that resolves part of the question from above.
Still not satisfied that the keyword thing works though.
