Is This Spam?
Is this spam? How can I get rid of this: No info, not a feedburner feed. Click counts only available for bit.ly. They are posting updates to my twitter account that has nothing to do with what we do and it goes out to my followers. This junk comes from a web site u.mavrev.com and they need to be put out of business. Can anyone help?

Inappropriate? The "not a feedburner feed" and "click counts only available for bit.ly" messages are for information only, in the twitterfeed dashboard. They simply say that we would display some click stats if we could, but since you're not using feedburner or bit.ly, we can't. This isn't anything to be worried about as such, it's just for info.
twitterfeed only posts content from feeds which have been set up to post to your twitter account. If you let me know the twitter account it's posting to, I can take a closer look. There must be a feed set up posting to your account that you have forgotten about, or someone else with access to your twitter account has set up. -
Inappropriate?Thank you Mario for the quick response. My twitter account is twitter.com/Kahlme The web address that is posting to my twitter updates is u.mavrev.com Do I need to delete my account and start over or can I get rid of this spammer?
Thanks again,
Steve -
You're posting a Google Alerts feed to your account, so in my experience the issue is usually that this feed contains items that you didn't expect to be in there - but this is not something that twitterfeed can do much about, nor is it spamming, it's just that the the feed you chose to post to twitter may contain content that you don't want posted.
If so, the easiest thing is just to log back into twitterfeed and delete or edit the feed. In case you've forgotten how to log in, in your case "Sign In with OpenID" -> "Google" should work. -
Inappropriate?Mario,
Thanks for the advice, I will redo my Google alerts and Twitterfeed info for my account. Thanks for the great information.

Inappropriate?urlShort (u.mavrev.com) is not spam, nor are we falsely providing short URLs. The feed your content is coming from into Twitterfeed must be containing the "spam", and Twitterfeed is doing its job by tweeting it with a short URL, in this case urlShort if bit.ly fails.
I’m tired of people making assumptions without first looking into them.
