Inappropriate? Are you talking about the dashboard on the twitterfeed website, or the tweets being sent to twitter?
We're aware of the issue with the dashboard, but the twitter posts themselves should work with any language. -
Inappropriate?I don't have any problems with the dashboard, but a Japanese is appearing garbled when showing in Twitter. This is not my feed but here is an example http://twitter.com/Anritsu/status/244...
I’m oh no!

Interesting - when looking at this post on a twitter client other than the web, it looks ok, so I've taken a closer look and it seems that twitter attempts to create hastag links for the part of the character with "#", which results in the character being split (they insert a link between the the ampersand and the hash character).
Will report to twitter, but don't think there's anything I can fix at my end. -
Inappropriate?I'm not a programmer so this is way above my knowledge level, but is it something related to the encoding of the text when it's passed to Twitter.
ping.fm and hellotxt.com also had issues sending in Japanese, which suggests it is at their end. Frustrating, especially as Twitter popularity is increasing here.
I’m sad

I think in this instance it's because twitter is trying to be clever in their web site, and create links for hashtags (i.e. strings starting with "#'). The hexadecimal characters being posted contain the "#"character, so I think twitter adds these links here when it shouldn't.
For example, the string "收" which would normally be rendered as a character by the web browser gets changed to "&<a href="/search?q=%23x6536" title="#x6536" class="hashtag">#x6536</a>" - so this breaks the hexidecimal character string.
