navigation taking a long time and timing out/returning to feed input screen

I have a lot of feeds going to lots of Twitter accounts - When updating them today I have noticed a number of problems with navigation taking an age and Twitterfeed not capturing the data I inputted (and then just taking me back to the feed input screen again without the changes being applied - then I have to re-input it all again, then it might take a while to submit or it might hang for a while and take you back to the blank input screen).

I have noticed a lot of them time that it seems to be hanging on 'transferring data from ping.chartbeat.net...' in the browser status bar for a very long time - I understand the usefulness of this analytics software, but is this causing timeouts and then making me(/us?) have to re-input all the details?

It's getting quite frustrating now - I am about half way through updating all my feeds currently and it's taken me hours so far!
