Problem at pownce.com
Some people have reported that twitterfeed has been hacked, as it's been posting content from pownce that wasn't theirs. I've taken a look, and this is not the case - the problem is actually with pownce itself - if I look at the messages sent by myself, it includes the below (screenshot):

.. so it seems something's gone awry at pownce to make these messages appear as being sent by lots of people. All twitterfeed does is send these messages onto twitter, since they appear in everyone's pownce rss feed.
UPDATE: I've reported this issue at pownce, and they say it's been fixed now, so just sounds like it was a hiccup at their end: http://getsatisfaction.com/pownce/top...

Inappropriate? Thanks for clearing that up! I haven't used Pownce in a while and I forgot that I even had a Twitterfeed for my Pounces!

Inappropriate? Thanks for the very quick troubleshooting and report, Mario!
People were starting to report it in Twitter's GSFN forum too. I've linked that topic to this one.
I’m thankful

Wow, thanks a lot for this! I didn't even look in the twitter satisfaction threads... it's been a bit hectic trying to do damage limitation (tried to reach out to everyone that turned up in a summize feed) even though it wasn't twitterfeed's fault, so it's great to see other people helping to clear up the issues - really, many many thanks! -
Inappropriate? And, if anyone is interested, Pownce acknowledges the problem on their blog: http://blog.pownce.com/2008/06/13/sen...

Inappropriate? This was Pownce's fault, not Twitter or Twitterfeed. We broke Pownce note filtering for a couple minutes last night. RSS, Atom, and API feeds for a particular user (your public sent notes) were also showing public notes from other users. Since services like Twitterfeed and Plaxo Pulse use your public feed for fetching your latest notes, it appeared as if you were sending these notes.
The best thing to do is just to delete any updates from Twitter and Wordpress that aren't actually from you. We're very sorry about the hassle, confusion, and extra work.
