some issues with Google accounts
It looks like there are some issues related to logging in with Google accounts. We're still trying to get to the bottom of it, as it seems to work for some users, and will try and find where exactly the issue is (i.e. at the twitterfeed, OpenID 3rd party, or Google OpenID end).

Inappropriate?is this the reason i am having problems?? - twitter :irishrecruit I posted earlier - I set up an email login and it sent me a mail to confirm and now I can not log in with that. I tried another openID though can not transfer over as it does not recognise irishrecruit from twitter.....I am at absolute loss what to do
I’m lost
-
You can't just create a new account, as this won't show you any previously set up feeds. In order to see your feeds, you need to login with your Google OpenID (see my response to you in another thread). -
Me too paul, in 10 years I have never had as many passwords and urls associated with one site. none of them work and there is no immediate support. -
Inappropriate?same problem here, trying to log in since last night and it's still not fixed :s
any ETA guys?
I’m sad
-
I can't either, I can't remember my od url and the urls I put in are not accepted, funny thing is before I signed up for a feed I was getting a feed anyway just by poressing the feed box in sites I go to, I didn't need twitter until I signed up with google for a blog and now it seems they have trouble with google, a known issue. ??? now they tell me. -
Inappropriate?waiting patiently for your reply, I'm unable to log in to edit my "gone haywire" feeds.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? If you're using Google accounts, we haven't yet found the reason, mostly because it seems to work fine for some people, while others (including myself at the moment) only get it work once in a while. We're still working with our partners to see if we can pin down the issue.
If your OpenID is not a Google ID and you have problems logging in, please let us know the OpenID provider. -
Not trying to piggy back on this post, but any news on why ClaimID isn't a listed provider to log-in with?
I've got feeds for work setup through a ClaimID account and I hope I can still access them. -
Inappropriate? We are waiting for the sollution. We've planned updates in twitterfeeds today but I think it must wait till monday?
-
Inappropriate? Thanks Mario. I managed to log in eventually but intermittently yesterday, but it kept hanging. Keep up the good work!
-
Inappropriate?Yes, overall Google logins seem to be slightly better, but still hang intermittently. We're continuing to try and improve the situation.
-
Inappropriate?Yes, tried yesterday and today w/ Google. Still getting hung up. I'll keep checking back.
-
Inappropriate?i can't see my feeds!!
i was lost with the new site so i sign up twice with an e-mail and a password and i don't like it cause i already had my account with google openid but i did'nt understand before...how can i delete those accounts?
-
Unless you actually set up some feeds in these new accounts, then they won't do anything. But if you want me to physically delete them, can you email me directly at mario at menti dot net. -
Inappropriate?I dont have problems logging in with google account, I can get in... but my feeds are not there! Is this a common problem, or am I doing something wrong?
I’m frustrated
-
It most likely means the OpenID URL you're logging in now isn't the same that was used when you set up the feeds. If you let me know the twitter account you're posting to I'll take a closer look. -
You are right Mario, I was doing it wrong. Thanks -
I believe this should be fixed now, but let me know if the issue persists. -
fixed! -
Inappropriate? If you previously logged in using Google OpenID, then you should continue to do so, as otherwise you won't see your previously set up feeds. As far as I can make out, logging via Google OpenID should work now.
If for some reason you still can't login or, or can't see your feeds when you're logged in, let me know the twitter account you're posting to, and I'll try and take a closer look. -
@Mario Menti - I STILL can't log in with my Google OpenID. It redirects me to the log-in page and says "We couldn't set up that account, sorry." I'm posting to the twitter account "gyokusai".
Can we PLEASE resolve this issue one way or another, like, soon? I have active feeds I can't stop, and inactive feeds I can't activate, and no control whatsoever. If you can't resolve this issue please kill all feeds for twitter.com/gyokusai so I might be able to set up an account I can actually log into. -
The reason may be that the email address that is associated with your Google OpenID account already exists as a "normal" twitterfeed account?
Could you contact me directly at mario at menti dot net with details of your Google email address, so I can take a closer look. If all else fails, you could create a new account (either a different OpenID, or a new email/password account), and I can switch the existing feeds to that. -
Issues resolved, with real prompt & great help. Thank you, Mario! -

Inappropriate?I'm using the traditional login, however I'm using 3 feeds from Feedburner and using Twitterfeed to post those feeds to my Ping.Fm account. my truthbrigade radio feed is posting but the other 2 feeds aren't getting posted. Nothing at all. I have enabled the awareness api for both feeds and I'm still not getting anything to post at all. Hope this helps
I’m frustrated
-
If you're posting to ping.fm, could you contact me directly (mario at menti dot net) with your account details (email address you used to register at twitterfeed), which will help me find the feeds, and see if there is a particular issue. -
Inappropriate?@Mario Menti - I still can't log in with my Google OpenID. It redirects me to the log-in page and says "We couldn't set up that account, sorry." I'm posting to the twitter account "gyokusai".
-
Inappropriate? Can't log in with Google account, few days later I could, none of my feeds show, totally frustrated using twiiterfeed, put back old system until you fix the new. Can't edit feeds or see them. FRUSTRATED.
I’m frustrated
-
Could you let me know the twitter account(s) you're posting to, so I can take a closer look? -
Inappropriate?I can't log in with Google either :(
I then registered an account on twitterfeed but now it won't let me log on either...
My twitter account is immacbeth, if that would help. -
For some reason my Google account works again, but I still can't log on to the twitterfeed account with my email address... -
Inappropriate?Hi - I'm not able to sign in to Twitterfeed with my Google account - says it can't log me in as alissa@sweetremedy.tv. I have a bunch of feeds and I don't want to start over - I'm using my openid to log in. Can you let me know what's going on? Asap?? Thank you!
-
Inappropriate?Any news on this or any suggestion of how feeds can be accessed if Google Open ID not working? Really need to edit my feeds straight away. At this point I'd accept having them switched off. Please get this fixed.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? If you really can't log in with your Google account, you could either use a different OpenID account or create new twitterfeed email/password account. Once you've done this, I can switch the feeds to the new account - to do this, you can email me at mario at menti dot net with the details (twitter account(s) your posting to, old and new account info).
I'll also need some way to confirm that you own the twitter account in question before I can move it, which is usually easiest if you send me a "@twfeed" message on twitter - but please send me an email first, so I'll know what it's about.. -
Inappropriate? Is there no way of us logging into our current accounts?
My twitter feed is http://twitter.com/qatarnews and I've tried recovering my openID and it just says there isn't any. I'm still getting feeds though....
I’m frustrated
-
I can see that these feeds have been set up using a Google OpenID, but it doesn't tell me which one. What happens when you click on "Sign In with OpenID", and then select the Google option from the pop-up window? -
Inappropriate?Hi Mario - I know you are overworked right now with this issue - but I really need to log in to the account...is it a systemic problem with no quick solution on your end or do I need to scrap everything and start over - and how do I know it will work after creating new Twitter identity, new tweetlater, new feeds, new twollo, new google alerts, etc? Is there some way for me to scrap my previous google id and redo with the same email?? I'm a novice, help!
-
Inappropriate?just tried again with a new open ID from livejournal - twitterfeed says it can't sign me in - what the heck?!
-
Could you let me know the twitter account you're posting to? I can then check the OpenID used to set up the feeds, and if you can't login with that OpenID anymore, could transfer the feeds to another account (either another OpenID, or just a normal email/password twitterfeed account). -
Inappropriate? It started to work for me last week and then this am I tried to show someone else how to start the application & I am back to the same old problem very embarassing!
Mario can we just cancel the old ggogle account open ID and start a new one I have another open ID and can access with that - alternatively can you just cancel the old feeds from there and I will start a new - this is so frustrtating - I have been told to try TwitRobot??
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Does that mean I don't have a blog then? No one will see it without a feed. Twitterfeed said I am giving them the wrong password, is that a google issue too, I got the ad for the blog here on twitter, why did I have to go to google to set it up when obviously twitter has issues with google? I'm really confused.
I’m frustrated
-
I'm a little confused about what you are having a problem with. Is the problem that you can't log into twitterfeed, or is the problem that you can't create a new feed once you're logged into twitterfeed? -
I caan't log into twitterfeed, they said it is the wrong password, I have it written down but if it is they are not offfering me a way to get a new one, since I can't get into twitterfeed I can't continue to enter my feed url with them and set up my feed, so its both actually. -
if you signed up using an email and password, you can use the "forgot password" link, which will send you a new password. If you have previously set up a feed, can you let me know the twitter account this was posting to, which may help me find an existing account. -
Inappropriate?Sorry Mario I have a google ID and can not log in.
Last week before this started working I created another ID which does alow me in though there are no feeds there obviously. My question is if i am one of the unluckyones with Google ID can we cancel this and the feeds and I will start all over again. I just need the problem solutioning ASAP username IrishRecruit
I’m anxioius
-
Is this the account under the same gmail.com address that is linked to your OpenID account? If so, I can move the feeds to that one. -
Yes, Mario please move over and I will access through that open ID can you please ensure that IrishRecruit (Twitter user name) is attached?
thanks Mario
Please advise -
Inappropriate?Hi Mario - my company has a twitter feed account that we set up through my personal google account, which I've managed in the past using OpenID. I understand there are unresolved access issues with using Google / Open ID currently. Could you help me get into my account so we can change our feed settings? We feed several RSS feeds to several twitter accounts. Thank you
-
The vast majority of Google OpenID users have no problems, but there seem to be a few specific problems we're struggling with. Have you tried logging in ("Sign In with OpenID", then click on "Google")? -
Inappropriate?Yes I have Mario. I've tried it across platforms as well. Interestingly, this worked after a few attempts last week. Now, on a subsequent attempt this week to further edit my feeds, I'm having no luck.
What happens is I select sign in with OpenId, then Google (usually I'm signed into Gmail so it recognizes me - I've tried logging out and logging into Google as well to see if that makes a difference)...then it tries to authenticate. I'm led to a white screen, which neither progresses nor logs me in. Here is the sequence in images:

At this point I don't progress, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong.
-
Thanks for these screenshots, I've passed them on to the RPX guys in the hope they help to figure out the problem. -
I'm trying to log in to Twitterfeed using my Google and Yahoo OpenID and get exactly the same problem as Michael Edenfield illustrates with his screenshots. Is there any way of cancelling the account and I'll start again? Thanks. Dan -
dan - could you contact me directly (mario at menti dot net) with details? -
Inappropriate?Mario, I don't have gmail, I signed into google using my email at aol and my password, I also have an openend id but it doesn't seem to work. I hav emy blog blanki now, I won't post on it, I'll jsut leave it alone. I was doing OK until I couldn't get back into twitterfeed to give them my url. I still don'ty know why. If you have the wrong PW or you have forgotten it, you are out of luck with them, there is no way ot get help there.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Mario, I am one of the many (dozens? hundreds? thousands?) having issues with logging into the new TwitterFeed site via Google OpenID.
I am encountering the same problem as Michael Edenfield illustrated via screenshots in his post on June 30.
It is definitely not a browser issue, as I experienced the issue identically in Firefox, IE, Opera, and Safari on two different computers.
The Twitter account I am trying to sign in with is "dethompsOWU".
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. -
Sorry for the inconvenience, we (and our OpenID provider) are still struggling with this issue, because try as we might we can't replicate it. In the short term, if you wanted to you could create a new account on twitterfeed (either an email/pwd account, or a different OpenID), and once you've done this email me the details (mario at menti dot net) so I could associate your existing feeds with the new account. -
Inappropriate?hey mario have an email coming ur way in a sec in reguards to open ID. ill include all the details. bless.
I’m hopeful..
-
Inappropriate? My twitterfeed has been working fine until about 14 hours ago... last post at @socialmediatek
I can log in via Google but I don't see any of my feeds.
I’m upset
-
Your feed is set up under a myopenid.com OpenID, so "Sign In with OpenID" -> "myOpenID" should work.
Re. the feed, it looks like the most recent posts in the feed have already been posted, but if there is an item that you think should have been posted and hasn't let me know the details. -
Oops, yes sorry it was OpenID. However I was alerted to my account when I realised my posts weren't going through, which is why I panicked. My apologies on that too, it seems the problem lies on my feed aggregator not on your end.
