I have tried to set up RSS feeds from our library blog to go on Twitter, it all looks ok on Twitterfeed but it doesn't seem to be updating on Twitter.

Inappropriate?Could you let me know the twitter account you're posting to and the feed URL, and I will try and take a look.

Inappropriate? The twitter account is libraryatQUB and the feed URl is http://blogs.qub.ac.uk/library/
...many thanks...QUB -
The closest I can find is a twitter account called "LibraryatQueens", using the feed at http://blogs.qub.ac.uk/library/feed/. This account has a current status of "twitter responded: 401 Unauthorized", which means the username/password combination was reject by twitter when twitterfeed treid to post. Could you check to make sure that this is correct (there's a test function in the feed edit settings). -
Strange - in the feed settings for your account, it looks like the most recent posts from each of your 2 blogs have been posted (the "last posted" values match what's in your feeds), but I can't see them in you timeline. Unless they have been manually delete, all I can think of is that the twitter API returned an "ok" to us, suggesting the update went through ok, but for some reason hasn't actually updated. -
Inappropriate?I definitely didn't delete any. Most of them turned up after a day or thereabouts. Some worked today, but on a few hours delay.
Have some more at the moment that have certainly gone longer than half an hour, so similar, I suppose. -
Inappropriate?I set up my first feed today, several hours ago, so far it hasn't posted anything to Twitter. Twitter(feed) account name JimRoepcke, feed URL:
http://feeds.delicious.com/v2/rss/Jim...
Once your service works, I will be absolutely ecstatic and will definitely be donating to help cover your costs.
And thanks for even offering support for your free service! -
For some reason there were long delays over night, still looking into the servers to see where the cause for that may have been. I think your feed has posted now, but the bit.ly authentication didn't seem to work. I'll reply to you offline with details of that, to see if the issue is with the feed settings or the bit.ly API. -
Inappropriate?I see the bit.ly issue in the post on twitter, that's funny. I edited the settings, re-pasting in the bit.ly API key (just in case I pasted it wrong last time) and changed my bit.ly username to be all lowercase as it's displayed on the bit.ly site (in case that matters). Thanks for looking into this.

Inappropriate?I have this problem too, although I managed to get one post through from Twitterfeed when I originally created it on 30 April. This is the URL I am using and the stories are appearing fine in Google. Can anyone help please?

Inappropriate? My feeds are not posting to @altimax
Here is one of the feeds which twitterfeeds says is working:

I’m frustrated
-
The problem is that these feeds don't contain any publish dates, which is what twitterfeed uses by default to determine if an item is new and should be posted. They do seem to contain GUIDs though, so you could try editing the feed in twitterfeed and select the "post based on GUID" option instead of the default "post based on pubDate". -
Inappropriate?I set up my feeds yesterday and no action on Twitter after 24 hours. I have set them up again and still no action on Twitter. All feeds are "status ok and checked." All feeds are shortend using bit.ly. Please can you help/advise as this is very frustrating.

Feeds:

I have 10 feeds in total but have submitted the above 3 by way of example as I expect they all have the same problem.

It's hard to check this, as these feeds are empty right now. The things to check usually are...
- if you use the "post by pubDate" option, do the new items have a pubDate which is newer than a previously posted item in this feed? If not, they won't be posted
- if the feed items have GUIDs (unqiue ID elements), are these always unique? Again, if there was an item in the feed with the same GUID which as already been posted, twitterfeed won't post other items with the same GUID
- if you choose to include the link, is the link unique for each item? Again, twitterfeed checks against previously posted links and won't re-post items with an identical link,
