The laconi.ca API doesn't support OpenID yet (see http://laconi.ca/trac/wiki/TwitterCom...), so you need to add a username/password to your laconi.ca account if you want to make use of applications like twitterfeed who work with the laconi.ca API.

I expect once laconi.ca has it's own API (and not just the current twitter-compatible API) this will change, but in the meantime I'm afraid there is no way around this.
