Inappropriate?Could you please provide some information (twitter account being posted to, feed URL), as otherwise there is nothing I can do to help.
-
I am having a similar problem. Some of my feeds show up but not all. I can not figure out why. -

Kip - I can see some recent posts, if you continue to have a problem with one or of the feeds please let me know.
Nancy - could you let me know the twitter account you're posting to and the feed URL, and I'll take a look. -
Thanks for your response! I obviously wasn't waiting long enough to see them! -
I'm having this too on twitter.com/fedcomputerweek. One feed is not showing up (http://fcw.com/RSS-Feeds/All.aspx), and this one is showing up twice (http://fcw.com/RSS-Feeds/Blog-FCW-Ins...) -
susan1105 - the problem with the first feed is an invalid date (the "last posted" value for that feed is 2009-03-23 08:00:00, which is in the future). twitterfeed won't post any items from that feed unless their publish date is newer than the newest previously posted item. If you delete and re-add this feed it should start posting again, but you may want to check the feed first to make sure that this incorrect date isn't in there anymore, or it will just happen again.
The double posts seem to be caused by some of your feeds duplicating content. For example, you're posting http://fcw.com/RSS-Feeds/Blog-The-Lec..., which as far as I can see contains identical content to the second feed you mention above. -
I'm having an issue that Twitter is updating the feed is one day behind.
Twitter account: aerogarden
RSS feed: http://www.aerogardenoutlet.com/rss/d... -
areogarden - the problem are the item links (all items share the same link). If you include the link in what is posted to twitter, then twitterfeed checks the link for duplication, to avoid unintentional double postings.
You'll have to either generate a feed where the links on each item go back to that item (i.e are unique), or else exclude the link to be posted to twitter (in the twitterfeed feed options). If the link isn't included, twitterfeed won't check it. If the link is always the same, it's arguable if it's very useful to include in each tweet anway. -
my username is jamestopdog.vidoop.com . when i logged in there was a page load issue. then when i re-entered the twitterfeed homepage, ALL my feeds were wiped clean!!!! :( -
My feeds don't work. Arttechstudio http://www.google.com/alerts/feeds/03... thanks -
Art Tech - there's a lot of feeds so it's hard to see which one(s) don't work. One thing I can see in the feed you mention above is that it has multiple items with *exactly* the same "published" date. twitterfeed by default only posts new posts (so they need to be at least a second newer then a pervious post), so in case of multiple items with exactly the same time stamp, only one item will be posted. You may want to experiment with "select by GUID" in the feed options (you can change it by editing a feed in twitterfeed), as your feed contains GUIDs, and this means that twitterfeed will ignore the publish dates, and select new items based on whether their unique GUID has been posted before. -
Inappropriate?my twitter is cosmicthings and my feed is http://cosmicthings.com/wpsblogs/tech...
I’m anxious
-
I just looked at one of the items that didn't seem to get posted (Siftable) didn't because its link (http://cosmicthings.com/wpsblogs/tech...) was already posted at some point earlier.
twitterfeed checks the links against what's been sent previously, in an effort to minimize unintentional double posts, so if they are included in what is posted to twitter they should always be unique. -
Inappropriate?Mario - I have 2 feeds - http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Iheardit... and http://feeds2.feedburner.com/ihearditon - that are not showing up in my twitter feed. They were working fine until 2 days ago. Yesterday only a couple of items in each feed were showing up, and today none were.
I’m frustrated
-
Looking at the 2 feeds you're posting to twitter, I can't see any new items which should have been posted - the most recent entries in both feeds (Andrew's Top 5, New Vampire Weekend) have both been posted. Or am I missing something? -
Mario - thanks for the reply. Problem is for the http://feeds2.feedburner.com/ihearditon feed that there were 9 additions to the feed yesterday, I have the settings at 2 updates/hour, and only 1 update showed up in the twitter feed all day. -
One issue is that if a lot of items are added very close to each other, then the older ones will not be posted. For example, if you only send 2 tweets at the time, it will check the feed and post the 2 most recent items in that feed. If since the last time twitterfeed checked the feed there are (say) 9 new items which have all been added in that time, the older 7 will not be posted. -
Inappropriate? Thanks. So it will tweet only how many items I have in the feed, but won't tweet a certain number of item feeds per hour?
I’m still inquisitive
-
Basically, every time twitterfeed checks the feed, it will post the X newest items. So if there are more than X items that have been added since the last time it checked, these won't be posted. Hope this clarifies.. -
Inappropriate? It does. Thank you. One more question for you: how can I broadcast my feed items on an hourly basis to my Twitter account? Can I do that with Twitterfeed?
-
The only thing you can set is the interval/frequency at which twitterfeed will check your feed. If you need further control over what is posted when, you may need to add new items to the feed at given intervals. -
Mario - I'm having this problem again.... what's going on? -
Mario - I'm having this problem again.... what's going on? -
Inappropriate?I have this problem too in the last 48 hours, My blog entries are not turning up on twitter.
-
If you continue to have problems, can you provide me with the twitter accout you're posting to, and the feed URL being posted. -
Inappropriate?I also have this problem. My account (Twitter username NowPublic, feed URL http://www.nowpublic.com/developing/f...) will not update on Twitter. Deleting and rebuilding the feed in Twitterfeed results in a single successful post to Twitter, after which updates cease. The RSS feed itself behaves as expected, and has not been messed with.
The issue has persisted since March 20 at around 20:15.
I’m perplexed
-
At the moment it looks like the most recent post according to the publish date (the Bruce Willis one) has been posted to twitter. Unless I'm missing something? Once there is an item that has newer publish date, it should be posted. -
There are over a dozen newer items that are not appearing in the Twitter feed. The Willis item was not the most recent RSS output- just the most recent that Twitterfeed found. -
If you take a look at your feed now, the Willis story has a date of "Mon, Mar 23, 2009 18:50" - all the other items in that feed have older date stamps, which is why they are not being posted to twitter.
If you want twitterfeed to not use the publish dates as the criteria for deciding what is new, you could try using "select by GUID" in the feed settings instead. This will ignore the publish dates, and post any new items appearing at the top of the feed. -
Thanks for following up, Mario. Selecting pubDate or GUID (sorted/unsorted) has no effect- the RSS items remain unpublished to Twitter. The sole exception was a single item published at around 11.30am PDT. -
Inappropriate? My blog is also not pushing through. Twitter account: stevejeantet / feed: http://stevejeantet.wordpress.com/feed - Please help!
I’m confused
-
This seems to have posted - can you let me know if you continue to have problems. -
Inappropriate?I have the same issue - twitter account is nrs and the rss feed is http://neilandmarie.com/?feed=rss2 - I made a new blog post at 9:40 and it's just a hair over two hours later and no post despite having 30 minute updates turned on. I had this issue when I first set up twitter feed, it took 5 - 6 hours for the first post to show up on twitter depsite the 30 minute setting. This is the first blog post I've made since setting up twitterfeed last week.
**EDIT** well it showed up but it was about 2 hours late .. maybe it's a time zone issue?? any help would be apprecaited -
It's definitely not related to timezones, as twitterfeed just compares the timestamps in your feed against each other, not against any "real" time. However, there can be a delay between making a post on the blog and the feed being updated. When you then consider that twitterfeed checks once every 30 minutes, this could add up to another hour (if it "just missed" the update). 2 hours does seem a little long though - if you continue to see delays like these it may be worth checking a) how quickly the feed gets updated after making a new blog post, and if that happens very quickly I'll take a look at my end why there is such a delay.
It can generally vary a bit due to server load etc., but as I said, 2 hours feels a bit too long a delay if it happens consistently.
