Wordpress.com OpenID server not found?
Does anyone know why my wordpress.com login will no longer let me access twitterfeed.com or mixx.com? Anytime I try to login, I get the following error from twitterfeed.com:
Could not find OpenID server for http://[myusername].wordpress.com/
Any help?

Inappropriate? If it's not just twitterfeed having this issue, you should probably check with wordpress. One thing I've heard mentioned before (you'll find it if you search previous posts on this site) is that the wordpress OpenID works on the blog URL, so you need to actually set up a blog. If you just have a username and no blog, the Wordpress URL won't work as an OpenID URL.

Inappropriate? Thanks, Mario. Yes, it seems to be a problem across more than one site. I haven't changed any settings in my Wordpress blog though and have gotten no response from Wordpress after contacting them numerous times about it. Just hoping there might be some help out there or info. I'll keep playing with the settings in Wordpress to see if there is something I can do to get it working again.
I’m keepin at it

Inappropriate?Out of interest, what is the exact wordpress URL you're trying? Just so I can try and replicate..
-
Inappropriate?I'm not sure if that is the cause, but it seems the blog at http://ugachaka.wordpress.com is protected (or at least I can't access it via web)... perhaps the blog used as an OpenID URL needs to be publicly accessible?

Inappropriate? It is currently in private mode because it's a backup of a self-hosted blog right now, and I thought that might be the case so I opening it up but got the same result just today.
I actually started using my Wordpress.com OpenID with the blog set in private mode, so I don't think that should affect it.
Not sure what else to try at this point. I've tested almost every setting in Wordpress.com and gotten the same error message. When it stopped working, I had not made any changes to the settings.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?I tried your URL on quite a number of OpenID enabled sites, and got an error on each one, so this really must be something related to the wordpress OpenID, rather than the sites consuming it. Unfortunately I really don't think that there's much else I can do now..

Inappropriate?I understand. I think it's something on the Wordpress.com end as well. Maybe I will get some response from them soon, but I just thought I would run this error by you. I'll try and post up if I find a solution for other Wordpress.com users.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? It works! :) After you suggestion that it might be a problem with the blog not being public, I went ahead and opened it up again to experiment. After a day of leaving it viewable, my blog worked as an OpenID for twitterfeed as well as Mixx.com. I guess when I tried to open it up before, I didn't give it enough time for the settings to take effect.
For anyone else with this same problem, make sure that you have your blog publicly viewable when you use it as an OpenID.
The funny thing is that I had the blog set to private when I first set up my twitterfeed login with it. Perhaps it's something that Wordpress has changed recently.
Thanks for your help, Mario.
I’m satisfied and smiling
