TwitterNotes released
After some days of happy (most of the times) development we have finally released TwitterNotes. I was using more Twitter in the past weeks and occurred to me why not use Twitter to record things to do. It’s one of the most spread messaging systems it’s nearly everywhere, from IM to mobile phone and iPhones, so that makes it a great mean to record something anywhere. Alcides helped me with the design and some JavaScript, which I really should start learning...
The idea is simple, just put a plus sign before your message and it will appear as a note at TwitterNotes. You can also tag your notes, surrounding tags with asterisks or writing them after a cardinal sign. We’ve tried to keep the method as simple as possible, so that you don’t need much time to publish your note and gain more time to actually get things done. At your TwitterNotes’ account, you can manage all your notes. We’ve also built an API to enable everyone to extract their notes in a RSS feed and use them freely.
We’re planning on making a Netvibes’ widget with the latest notes and maybe a mobile version of the website, if we feel there’s interest for it. Now we are looking for feedback: bugs, ideas, feature requests, etc... You can drop them here or at TwitterNotes’ community. So if you have a Twitter account, go ahead and try it. We hope it will be useful to you.

Inappropriate?Congratulations guys!
If I was a Tweeter, I'd use it. At present my iPhone serves me well in the notes arena.

Inappropriate?Congratulations on the initiative.
However, I don't see how TwitterNotes can be useful right now. If I'm text-messaging Twitter, it means I have a cell phone I can use to write a note. Same thing if I'm using Twitter on a computer. Also, my notes aren't usually public updates, so I'd rather not share those on the Twitter timeline.
Still, it's great to see a new service built around Twitter. Keep up the good work. -
Inappropriate?Probably it's more a service for power users. The ones that send many messages and want to keep some aside because they talk about something they want to discuss better later. I find particular useful for keeping notes for blog articles, from links or ideias I share at Twitter, or something I answer like "I'll do it later".
Some may also find it useful by simply categorizing posts. There has been a movement to try and bring tags to Twitter messages. TwitterNotes is one possible approach.
But it's ultimately an open product, and it's value is probably specific to each user.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Hey all -- this is a great tool, especially with the tagged RSS feeds. I can see what I could do in my Zoho notebook. Is there a problem with the feeds right now, though? I can't get one to display in either gReader or Zoho.
In the requests department, a mobile Twitternotes website would be very useful !
I’m thrilled !
