how can i build my tynt network?

i'd like to engage in a discussion about why tynt has any merit, and why it doesn't. my question to start the process of gleaning value from this semi-original idea, hopefully resulting in a clear understanding of THE original idea, is this:

how is tynt planning to facilitate the means for its users to network? after all, the network itself is the content creator. that's the web 2.0 model. if we are going to move beyond web 2.0, we need to think about how we are already achieving the web 2.0 model. i have no way of understanding how to add friends to my network, or finding existing tynt users who i might already know.

here's a second question to supplement or broaden the scope of the first one:

how is tynt planning to facilitate the means for its users to improve the means of actually influencing web content, rather than merely commenting on it?

here's a "blue ocean" idea for you: imagine if the web-based API of wikipedia were available for all web content. this is the kind of potential i see in tynt.

tynt could provide a platform for gathering a large network base, as well as a means for writers, editors and designers to share improved designs with all of their contacts.
